achieve the perfect smile

The perfect smile isn’t actually too hard to achieve, it just takes dedication and a little time.

The biggest mistake you can make is surgery or braces, these are nothing but temporary fixes. People adopt crooked teeth through poor mouth posture, weak jaw muscles and poor tongue positioning.

This is why braces and surgery only temporarily fix a problem that is going to come back regardless. It’s the root of the weed that has to be destroyed in order to stop it growing.

If you keep chopping off the head, then you’ll simply see the problem resurface over and over again. Even if surgery and braces correct a problem, over time your mouth posture, weak jaw muscles and poor tongue posture will force the teeth back to how they were before.

The aim instead should be to correct the root cause. This is the true way to get a great smile that lasts.

Forces

When you hold a posture for long enough, your body molds to that shape. There’s a man in India who held his hand above his head for so long, that it ended up sticking in that position.

When it comes to mouth posture, many people have their tongues resting at the bottom of their mouths, they suckle instead of swallow which drags teeth out of place and they keep their mouth open.

Your tongue should be on your palette and not just the tip, aim to get the back of the tongue on the palette too. By doing this you widen your palette which widens your teeth and gives you that well-rounded look, rather than a narrow smile that looks congested.

Over time these forces drag the shape of your face wherever the forces are heaviest. Due to the tongue being down and your mouth open, this drags your face downwards which forces your teeth to lose contact with each other.

Without your teeth in proper contact, they’re free to grow as they please, leading to crooked smiles.

Proper Teeth Contact

The perfect contact of teeth is molars together (the back teeth) with your front teeth having a 2mm overbite. Here’s an example below.

By holding this posture even during sleep, with your lips together and tongue on the roof of your mouth, eventually your teeth are forced to straighten up and align properly.

Jaw Muscle

Your jaw muscle is key to making this happen. You could keep your mouth closed all day, but during 8 hours of sleep you could ruin everything.

When we’re unconscious we’re relying on resting muscle tone. By strengthening your jaw muscles, you increase the chance that your jaw will stay closed during sleep.

This also provides horizontal growth, where the entire lower face grows forwards. This enables teeth to come into contact more easily, making the perfect smile even more effortless to achieve.

Many people believe that good looking people are good looking because of features such as a nice smile. But a nice smile is a result of good posture.

Most good looking faces will have nice teeth, this is just the way it works. Hence why it seems that some people have everything, yet others have every flaw imaginable.

What To Remember

A great smile is formed through habit. The correct forces will do the work for you, it just takes time and hard work.

Chewing gum also helps speed up the process, the forces on your teeth and the increase in jaw muscle strength will force everything back into line.

Remember, teeth together, lips together, tongue on the roof of your mouth! After this chew more gum or tough foods and learn to swallow with your tongue on the roof of your mouth without using anything but the back of your throat.

Then you’ll receive the perfect smile without surgery or braces.
