LaVar Ball strategy

If you’re familiar with the basketball world, then you’ve probably heard of LaVar Ball.

LaVar is the father of 3 talented sons, who all look destined to make it to the NBA. LaVar is a talker, he’s constantly in the media for outrageous claims, such as my sons are better than (enter world class name).

Many have laughed at him for doing this, many have said that he’s putting too much pressure on his children, we at MSI believe that he’s merely emulating what Kris Kardashian did with her own kids.

The Empire

Say what you want about who’s the most famous among the Kardashian and Jenner clan, but it would all mean nothing if it wasn’t for Kris Jenner all those years ago.

She masterminded the entire rise of the Kardashian brand and is an expert marketer.

Britney Spears also had a helping hand when she first began. People would question the raunchy nature of her videos and ask how a girl so young knew how to do what she was doing.

It was later revealed that her Mother again masterminded everything, and actively encouraged her Daughter to become a sex icon.

LaVar Ball seems to be performing the same routine with his Sons. People can complain about what he’s doing, but at the end of the day, he’s setting up his children financially from his actions. That’s not a bad way to start your life. Yes your Dad may have been hard on you, but I think most people would take the rewards that are likely to come with this.

As LaVar constantly says, he’s being hard on them because life, the NBA, the media etc will be just as hard if not harder than he is.

This is something that more parents should be encouraged to do. The modern era revolves around a “Just try your best” attitude. But life is too competitive for that to work.

LaVar has created a mini NBA culture in his home. His boys are already living the demo mode of the ballers lifestyle. He’s even created a family brand “Big Baller Brand”, which uses the 3 B’s in abbreviated form to represent the 3 sons and the Ball surname.

How many Fathers have given their children this much of a platform to begin from? Your own brand, an NBA contract and fame. I think many of us would’ve taken that option growing up.

Take a look at this video of the Ball family below, it’s eye opening how structured their plan truly is. Everything that’s happened up to this point is the result of hard work and strategy.
