Millennial pink menswear

You may have heard of Millennial pink in recent weeks and wondered what all of the fuss is about.

To be honest it’s pretty simple.

Millennial pink is the first shade of pink we’ve seen that doesn’t raise eyebrows, and this is a good thing.

Pink has always been a color that sickens some and draws in others, a little like marmite, you either love it or you hate it.

When we mention pink we think of Barbie, we think feminine, we certainly don’t consider it a masculine color.

But millennial pink doesn’t seem to have the same problems. Due to it’s darker hue, it has a more masculine vibe. The gender specific nature of pink, that being female, isn’t insinuated with millennial pink.

Just take a look at the two separate shades of pink below.

On the left we have Barbie pink, on the right we have Millennial pink. They almost appear as different colors, this is why the male fashion industry is getting excited about Millennial pink.

Designers believe that this is a new opportunity for an untapped market and perhaps the color of the summer for the male menswear industry.

Some have described it as a salmon color, very pastel like. But the question is, will it remain?

The Future Of Millennial Pink

Millennial pink is certainly a color you should start stocking into your wardrobe.

Unlike previous shades of pink used in the fashion industry, this shade of pink is gender neutral. It’s also pleasing on the eye.

Previous pinks had the ability to make you look flashy, a little wild and somewhat campy. However Millennial pink is a shade that looks classy and works well with so many other colors.

No longer is pink a risk for men, it’s now a color that all men should be able to pull-off. Do yourself a favor and stock up with some Millennial pink ready for the summer, you’ll be glad you did when those special occasions come along.
