meet people in 2017

Every year people look to grow and improve. Once again you have another opportunity to turn things around in the next 365 days.

One way in which you can do this is through the 3 exposures. The 3 exposures refers to 3 types of people, how they’re living and what you can learn from them.

As we’ve said many times at MSI, it’s not what you don’t know that will hurt you, it’s what you don’t know that you don’t know that will.

This basically means that things completely unknown to you will probably hurt you most of all. If you don’t know that something exists or is possible, then you can’t even work on it or improve it.

The 3 exposures enables you to reach down deep into the unknown and pull out valuable life lessons. They also allow you to learn these lessons in a short amount of time rather than having to gather years of experience.

What Are The 3 Exposures?

Work-rate Exposure

The work-rate exposure is obvious but hard to find. It refers to the amount of effort you put into your dreams, into your goals and how many sacrifices you’re willing to make.

The reason why it’s so hard to find exposure to this trait, is because 99% of people have never worked a full day in their lives.

The average person will tell you that 40 hours a week is too much for them, they’re tired and never have any time to do anything.

This makes you believe that a full-time job is enough. But the most successful people are working 18 hours a day 7 days a week. Plus when they’re not working they’re thinking about work and future ideas.

It seems as though successful people are partying all the time because showing you the moments when they’re hard at work would be boring.

You may think that you worked hard in 2016, but finding someone with a relentless work ethic is something highly recommended for 2017. Once you realize what it actually takes to reach the top, your eyes are opened wide.

Working 5 days a week 8 hours a day is called a part-time job for many successful individuals.

Quality Exposure

Quality exposure has become perhaps the most important one on this list in the last year alone. With the introduction of 4k industry standards, retina-ready websites, the Instagram high quality algorithm and other quality related features, it’s become so important to execute at the highest level.

Websites, videos, images, media kits, business cards, graphics and so on have been around a long time now. This means that they’ve had time to be perfected.

At one time the barrier for entry may have been very low. Just take music videos from the 80’s as an example. It usually involves a few people dancing on a set made of cardboard which isn’t convincing anyone.

Today they’re more like movie trailers with the amount of production put behind them. Stars are renting yachts, planes, cars, models, hiring top level camera crews, wearing the finest clothes, it’s really stepped up.

This goes for all industries. The overall standards have left the average individual behind. The gap between the top 1% and up and comers is bigger than ever. There’s plenty of people producing content, businesses, services and more, then showing them to their friends for feedback.

But unless your friend is a top level individual within that industry they’re wasting your time. What your Mom thinks is incredible and she’s so proud of you for, a CEO within your industry would throw in the trash.

It’s tough to swallow but the modern world is cut-throat. In 2017 you should spend hours each day researching the highest quality within your industry. Make that level your new standard, or get as close to it as possible.

Good enough hasn’t been acceptable since around 2010 when many things began to change, so you can be sure 2017 will follow this trend.

Lifestyle Exposure

Lifestyle exposure is somewhat materialistic but everyone needs a brief exposure within this category.

It’s easy to lose belief or feel as though life will always been a certain way for the rich and a certain way for everyone else.

Going to a 9 to 5 job day in and day out, or working on a business without profit can chip away at you and breed negativity.

The lifestyle exposure will brighten your spirits, give you something to reach for and offer hope.

Knowing how the most successful people live changes your entire perspective on the world. All of the things you once thought were normal annoyances, successful people don’t have to deal with.

The lifestyle exposure comes from hard work and quality, so you may be lucky enough to find one individual/mentor all in one package.

If you manage to do this and then add these mind-set changes to your own life, 2017 will be a life changing year for you.

The aim should be to end the year as an improved person to the one you began as. Someone who thinks differently, operates on a higher level and is far more aware.
