best subjects to study

The world is ever changing, yet our methods for education remain the same.

We focus on very generic and outdated subjects like English, History and Geography, which need no more than a basic understanding before you can function correctly in the real world.

Some subjects are simply less actionable than others. A degree in English has very little uses and can very quickly become obsolete if technology improves even slightly. Who needs to know how to spell with auto-corrected spelling for example?

When subjects come along that are ready to disrupt everything, we seem to be slow to pick them up. This happened with computers in the early 2000’s.

People were slow to use them, very few were computer literate and thousands of missed opportunities flew by because people didn’t have the foresight to study something new prior to it becoming a major need.

This goes for everyone. The word study may have you believing that it’s only school/college kids who can learn something new, but lifelong learning is essential.

Imagine being one of the first people to master modern video editing and Photoshop. This could’ve lead to a life changing job/business that brings in hundreds of thousands if not millions per year. The crazy thing about those two subjects is that anyone could learn them from their own home.

Many opportunities have passed, but thousands more are about to arrive. In order to be ready for them, here are a few subjects that you should be studying today, in order to achieve success in the future.

  • AI Intelligence
  • Clean/Sustainable Energy

  • Stem Cell Treatments
  • Social Media Marketing – Next Gen

These are a whole range of subjects that you could be learning in the next few years in order to give yourself an advantage when high paying jobs, or business opportunities spring up in the future.

The rarer your skills the more chance of success that you’ll have. The great thing is, most of these subjects can be studied from home in your own time.

The one thing that is clear, is that the subjects of old aren’t guaranteeing success like they use to. How can a degree in history pay you as well as a degree in a future technology? One has limited uses, the other can take the entire human race forward by leaps and bounds.

It’s time to re-educate ourselves before it’s too late.
