You may have seen the male romper in the last few days, the all in one playsuit that is sure to become a favorite with frat boys and 18-30 lads holidays.

Once sported by Sean Connery in Goldfinger, the male romper held some prestige. However with the new lighter design, it’s taken on a more campy feel that may relate to groups of drunken men and hypebeasts.

Many of the new male rompers use a lighter material with floral patterns and resemble female summer dresses. However this is exactly why the male romper will probabaly catch on in the same manner as something like the man-bun did.

The man-bun was a trend that the world didn’t really need. Every trend follower in existence grew their hair a little longer and scrunched up the back of their head in a whirlwind of temporary hype.

The male romper looks as though it’s set for the same journey, especially with summer on the horizon and vacation season about to take place.

As Sean Connery showed us, the male romper has the potential to give off the impression of money and class. I’m sure there will even be some celebrities this summer rocking Gucci or other such brands versions of the romper and making the outfit look high-end.

But i can also guarentee that an all-American flag romper will be worn by drunken frat boys searching for attention and recognition.

For this reason, the potential of the male romper will be quashed as a nolvety piece of fashion that leaves the scene as quickly as it arrived.

In our opinion, the male romper will catch on this summer perhaps for all of the wrong reasons, with only the most lavish versions of the garment holding any weight in the world’s of style and culture.
