what length is designer stubble

We’ve all heard the term designer stubble, but what exactly is designer stubble?

Designer stubble is just another name for the 5 o’clock shadow and it’s taken a hit in recent years.

Everywhere you look there are articles claiming that light stubble/designer stubble is the least attractive style, behind heavy stubble full grown beards and clean shaven.

However these studies are carried out on every day people. The scientists do this to conduct a fair study, but in doing so they overlook the most important component.

The most important component is that many men grow a beard to cover up poor facial features. Just use James Harden or Dan Bilzerian as examples. These guys actually look better when less of their face is shown.

However when it comes to those men with chiseled faces, light stubble/designer stubble is actually the best style. It adds something to the face without taking away the eye catching angles.

Therefore the average man probably shouldn’t worry too much about designer stubble just yet, heavy stubble may be more beneficial for you until you’re able to make facial changes with something like orthotropics.

For those men who do have very etched features, designer stubble could be your best option. The length of designer stubble is around 4-6mm depending on the color and density of your facial hair.

The aim is to look something like George Michael…

This length with a strong jaw muscle, hollow cheeks and high cheek bones would probably give you a career in modeling.
